WEEK 14 - 18: TECHNICAL PAPER AND THESIS FYP COMPLETION

Content:
In week 14, was dedicated to the final task of producing the technical paper based on the completed project. The technical paper serves as a condensed version of the Final Year Project (FYP) report, summarizing all the relevant information, results and analyses in a concise and factual manner. Additionally, during this week, my supervisor conducted plagiarism check for the thesis using Turnitin Software, the assessed document was found a plagiarism rate of 22%, which is considered good and indicates the originality of my work.

Moving on to week 15 to 18, I focused on completing the remaining parts of the thesis that had been partially done during FYP1, minor changes were made to Chapter 1,2 and 3, while Chapter 3 required modifications to reflect the Fish Measurement System methodology. Meanwhile, Chapter 4 and 5 received major changes and updates.

After completing the thesis, I submitted it to my supervisor for plagiarism checks to ensure the work's integrity and originality. The results from Turnitin Software were satisfied. Once approved by the supervisor, I proceeded to obtain their signatures and necessary approval for the thesis.

The final step involved submitting the thesis to the Research and Innovation Section and the library, marking the completion of the thesis submission process.

Conclusion:
In conclusion, week 14 till week 18 involved producing, updating and completing the thesis and technical paper. The plagiarism check and necessary revisions were performed, followed by obtaining supervisor approval. With all the tasks and milestones accomplished, my Final Year Project has reached its successful completion. I am grateful for the guidance and support of my supervisor Dr. Mohd Zaki Bin Ayob and all parties involved, which have played an integral role in the successful completion of my project. Throughout the process, I have gained invaluable knowledge and experience and honed my skills to the next level.

WEEK 6: LEARNING OBJECT DETECTION FOR MY SYSTEM

Date: 10 -14 April 2023 Content: In week 6, I was dedicated to expanding my knowledge in the field of object detection using OpenCV and Python. I started by learning the basics of object detection, understanding its significance and practical applications to My Final Year Project named Fish Measurement System. I explored the concept of template matching, a technique used to locate a template image within a larger image, corner detection algorithms, which identify and locate corners or keypoint in an image, detection methods, including popular algorithms like Canny edge detection, to detect and highlight edges in an image. I also learned about grid detection techniques, which involve identifying grids or patterns in an image. WEEK 2: FYP WORKSHOP & COMPUTER VISION INTRODUCTION

Date: 13 - 17 March 2023 Content: On this week, I attended a FYP Workshop held at TTL2 Hall on UniKL BMI Campus. The workshop focused on providing guidance and clarification on the requirements, expectations, and deliverables of Final Year Project (FYP). The workshop also briefed on the different types of assessment for the FYP and their respective marks weightage. It also stated about the FYP rules and regulations, including guidelines for documentation, submission deadlines, and ethical considerations.  In this week also, I acquired fundamental knowledge about the introduction to computer vision (CV) on image basics and its application, I explored the concept of Numpy and its usage for working with arrays in Python. I also learned how to manipulate and process images using Numpy arrays and developed an understanding of the relationship between images and Numpy arrays and their importance in CV tasks.
